Monday Mission Update

I hope that everyone is enjoying a Memorial Day weekend unlike one I can ever remember.

It is with pride and an admitted sense of uncertainty that I share with you the Y's 2019 annual report.  When we started work on this, we were coming off a year of tremendous impact, and in the midst of starting another year with our usual outsized expectations and determination to reach even more people and families in central Maryland in ways that fundamentally enhance their well-being and sense of community.

And then, well, the world turned upside down. You might have read about this virus going around...

As we all move into yet another week of dealing with a worldwide upheaval like nothing any of us has ever experienced, we are proud of the fact that the Y community has taken a powerful punch and, although a bit dazed, remains standing and resolute. Our extensive work serving the community during this crisis might look a bit different, but it remains true to our mission, values and rich history.

So, please take a moment to read and enjoy the Y's 2019 Annual Report.  It's a great reminder of why the Y matters and what it is that we will get back to shortly, forever changed but determined to remain one of our community's most vital, resilient and essential assets.

All the best,
