We are thankful that Constance has joined us in this role and has been interviewing Y Members in Anne Arundel County and sharing those stories here. Please meet the woman behind the scenes . . .

Constance Flanagan has over twenty years of professional experience in global business operations management.  She has been a full-time employee at Oracle America, Inc., one of the largest technology companies in the world, for almost 18 years. She is Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in applied project management, who is experienced in international team management and economic development projects, global business planning, and software license and consulting services contract management.  She holds a Master of Arts in Russian Language and Literature and spent the early years of her career from 1995 to 1998 working in international economic development projects in the Russia and Ukraine.  Her ability to focus and achieve goals is enhanced by her dedication to good health and fitness.  She has been a part-time employee and fitness instructor at the Y in Arnold, since 2013 and served as a fitness instructor at a for-profit organization previously since 2011.  She is a certified Spinning and yoga instructor and teaches classes in these disciplines at the Y.  She routinely engages in a challenging training regimen for half Ironman and full Ironman competitive triathlons.  She recently completed the Lake Placid Ironman in July of 2015.  Most recently she became the first Mission Advocate at a the Y in Central Maryland and has been engaged in helping members at the Y in Arnold become more aware of the Y's mission and Annual Campaign as a means of improving awareness of the Y's significance in each member's life and the lives of those in need.
