Recruitment "Roadshow"
The HR Recruitment team is hitting the road! Their first stop is the Greater Annapolis Y in Arnold this Friday, May 27 from 4-7pm. One-on-One Retirement Consultation
The Y Retirement Fund (YRF) is offering 15-minute virtual personal consultations on Tuesday, May 31.
Virtual personal consultations are designed for those who have in-depth questions about annuity options, rollovers, beneficiary designations, and other personal topics.

Scholarship Opportunity from Y-USA
The Y of the USA (Y-USA) has a variety of scholarship opportunities available for Y associates, to support undergraduate and postgraduate studies as well as job-related training.
Applications must be submitted by end of day on Friday, June 3, 2022.
Applicants must be applying for fees that support undergraduate or postgraduate studies beginning after August 1, 2022 and ending prior to July 31, 2023 OR Y job-related training beginning after April 1, 2022 and ending prior to December 31, 2022.

We have reached the final phase of our training revamp and will soon be launching the Beyond Essentials learning plan:
- This learning plan follows the path set in the learning plans assigned to you a few months ago: Prestart and Essentials.
- This continues our goal of giving you the training you need to protect yourself and others, and to be successful in your role.
All training that has been assigned to you can easily be found in Dayforce Learning on your Overview tab.

OUR WORK TOGETHER
Dear Colleagues,
The events of this week and the past several weeks, involving the senseless slaughter of children in an elementary school, church members worshipping together and people simply doing their grocery shopping, has taken a terrible toll on everyone. As Y associates, all of this has had a particularly significant impact on us given the work we do and the mission we serve. I simply want to let you know that you are not alone in your grief. Let's do what we can to support each other as we work through all of this in our heads and hearts, and recognize that we are each going to have to process things in our own way.
I also want to remind everyone that you should feel free to access the Y's Associate Assistance Plan (I've attached a document providing more information HERE) if you would like to speak with a trained professional.
There is clearly something deeply wrong in our society. At the Y, we can't solve a lot of what ails us, but we can and do contribute mightily to exhibiting what is right in our society. Every single day, Y associates model the kind of behavior and humanity that our communities and families really need. For that, I thank and respect all of you from the bottom of my heart.
