To participate in the Y Associate Referral Program, please review the qualifying positions below and submit the referral form. For more information about the program, see the FAQ at the bottom of this page.
Refer a qualified candidate for one of our Y Early Head Start Teacher positions and you may be eligible to receive a $500 referral incentive!
Refer a qualified candidate for a Health & Wellness position below and you may be eligible to receive a $150 referral incentive!
Refer a qualified candidate for one of our Youth Development positions below and you may be eligible to receive a referral incentive!
A: It’s easy! All you have to do is refer a candidate to a referral eligible position. You are eligible to receive a referral reward when you refer someone new who has not worked for the Y before. You must submit the referral form below and the candidate must include your name on their online employment application. If the candidate you referred is hired and is active and in good standing after 90 days, you will receive the referral incentive!
A: We love it when past associates rejoin the Y in Central Maryland workforce! Unfortunately, they do not qualify as a new referral.
A: Associates can earn up to $400.00. Referral incentives may vary depending on the position. You can inquire with HRRecruitment@ymaryland.org regarding incentive amounts.
A: Associates will receive their incentive payout within two weeks after the candidate they referred has been employed for 90 days and is still active and in good standing. The referral incentive will show up automatically on your pay statement.
A: The referral incentive payout is listed as “Referral Bonus” on your earnings statement. You can check your earnings statements in Dayforce to see if you received a referral payout – just keep in mind that you will receive the payout within two weeks after the candidate you referred has been employed for 90 days and is still active and in good standing.
Below is an example of how the "referral bonus" will appear in Dayforce. Incentive amounts vary depending on the referral eligible position.
A: After the candidate you referred reaches their 90 days and they are still active and in good standing, HR will send you a notification to expect a referral incentive payout in your upcoming paycheck. You can always inquire directly with HRRecruitment@ymaryland.org.
A: We do not currently have a way to notify you when you are listed as a referral for a new hire on an employment application. If you are wondering about a particular candidate referral, you can inquire with HRRecruitment@ymaryland.org.
A: YES! Hiring managers are eligible to receive a referral incentive for new associates hired into any position other than the ones they directly supervise.
A: Please let us know if you believe you are owed an associate referral incentive. You can send an inquiry to HRRecruitment@ymaryland.org and we will research the new hire and follow up with you.
A: We are not able to split incentive payouts between two or more associates.
