Charles (Chip) Warner

Chief Operating Officer 

Chip Warner is the Chief Operating Officer for the Y in Central Maryland. In this role, Chip provides executive leadership for all of the Y's operating units and program areas, including health & well-being, camp, before and after school enrichment, and early childhood development. 

Chip comes to the Y from Erickson Living, where he was the Regional Vice President of Operations. In that role, he led operations for nine large-scale continuing-care retirement communities across five states, providing comprehensive health care, wellness and hospitality services to community residents in independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing settings. Chip was responsible for over $550 million in operations and more than 7,000 employees serving over 13,000 seniors.  Additionally, he was responsible for the planning and implementation of major capital projects totaling more than $200 million annually.  Chip worked at Erickson Living for 14 years, holding a range of both operational and cross-organizational roles.

Chip earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School, a Masters of Arts from the University of Maryland and his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy. He earned the rank of Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, serving as an officer on the USS John C. Stennis and as an instructor in the English Department at the Naval Academy.

Chip resides in Severna Park with his family and he is active in the community, serving as a Trustee and Board Chair for the Bridges Public Charter School in Washington, DC.
