FUN WITH PURPOSE
June has been particularly busy at the Y with associates planning for and celebrating PRIDE and Juneteenth! From the Annapolis Pride Parade, our PRIDE cycle at the Greater Annapolis Y in Arnold to our Juneteenth community celebration at the Y Swim Center in Randallstown, we have loved every minute! A huge thank you goes out to everyone involved in making these events so awesome, festive and fun.

During our quarterly leadership meeting held with approximately 200 Y leaders this past May, we had the opportunity to come together as a team to catch up, check in and look forward. Y Board members brought us pearls of wisdom; our CEO and COO answered questions and continued to paint the vision for our way forward; and our Associate Resource Group (ARG) leads shared the various ways that associates might connect.
Intentionality in creating an inclusive environment that invites belonging for all is ambitious work. It takes all of us. It takes Board members, association leaders, association members. Each of us has a part. Each of us is essential as individuals to the effectiveness and success of the whole. The challenge is for each of us to find the work of inclusion that is ours to do! ARGs provide that opportunity. Both those who have identities that have been historically marginalized and those who seek to ally, are critical to inclusion and belonging. It is our hope that each Y associate feels empowered to support space and place for all members of the Y community.

We want to know and we want to share your news! The next Us! enewsletter will be published on July 13th. The submission deadline is Friday, July 7th.
UPCOMING EVENTS
JUNETEENTH CELEBRATIONS
Y family centers are hosting activities to celebrate Juneteenth including guest speakers, crafts, informational displays, and more! Activities and dates vary by location and take place through June 19th.

B KINDER DAY
Join the Y in Catonsville to celebrate B Kinder Day! Activities include card decorations, painting kindness rocks; and learning about random acts of kindness you can complete throughout the community.

MEN'S HEALTH WEBINAR
Men are traditionally less likely to go to the doctor yet more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and heart disease. Learn about the chronic diseases that commonly impact men and the measures that can be taken to prevent them!

PRIDE BOOT CAMP SEND A KID TO CAMP FUNDRAISER
Dress in your brightest colors and join Y Instructor Victor Freeman, for a morning of boot camp fun! All proceeds from this high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout will go towards helping children in the community have an unforgettable summer at Y camp!

SAVE THE DATE: SEND A KID TO CAMP DOLLAR MATCH DAY
With 350 children in need of financial support still on the waitlist for Y camp, an anonymous donor will be matching gifts made to the campaign on Tuesday, June 27th. Look out for more information on how you can help coming your way shortly!
IT'S A COOKOUT: CONNECTING WITH THE ASSOCIATE RESOURCE GROUP (ARG) TEAM
Come enjoy games, good food, good company and connect with the ARG team! Get to know our ARG leaders: Jovan, Zalanka, Megan, Sherrie, and Lisa and have fun too! Everyone is welcome to attend. No RSVPs are necessary.
