Project Overview

The Y in Central Maryland is making a significant impact in Anne Arundel County. With two Y Family Centers in Pasadena and Arnold, school-age enrichment programs in numerous schools, camp locations, and Head Start sites, the Y's presence is both strong and vibrant. However, without a Y Family Center that serves the central part of the county, the Y is unable to provide its full range of programs and services to many county families.

Thanks to a substantial lead naming gift from Jim and Janet Clauson, the Y is excited to move forward with raising roughly $46 million for a multi-phased project to bring the new Clauson Y in Millersville to fruition. To date, this campaign has secured:

  • More than $21 million
  • Community and residential buy-in
  • Anne Arundel County's commitment to fully fund a new 20,000 square foot public library as part of the overall project
