The Y in Central Maryland is proud to partner with the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the nation’s oldest Historically Black athletic conference!
The 2024 Food Lion CIAA Men's & Women's Basketball Tournament takes place at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore from February 26 - March 3. GET YOUR TICKETS HERE!
But basketball is not the only focus. In addition to the tournament, there are a series of free events to support the development and success of students and families in our communities. Plus, fraternities and sororities from CIAA colleges and universities are collecting personal hygiene items to support Y families.

CIAA HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION DAY | FEBRUARY 28, 10:30 AM - 2:00PM
Baltimore Convention Center
The US Army ROTC CIAA High School Education Day gives students the opportunity to learn more about the importance of furthering their education and to explore and discover the exciting programs and experiences CIAA colleges and universities have to offer.
This event is open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors in City schools and other schools in the region, and their chaperones (school representatives, organization advisors/staff, parents, etc.). Meet with college recruiters from Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia to learn tips to prepare for college. Admission offers and scholarships from CIAA schools will be available. Be sure to also stop by the Y's booth!

The CIAA Career Expo provides upcoming and recent high school and college graduates, career seekers, and career switchers the opportunity to meet organizations who are actively recruiting candidates for available positions.
Employers attend the CIAA Career Expo to access a diverse pool of job seekers, provide information to HBCU students about internships and job openings, and collect resumes for future openings. Be sure to stop by the Y's career expo booth. We're hiring!

CIAA FAN FEST | MARCH 1-2, 2024

The CIAA Fan Fest, is a two-day FREE event featuring interactive sponsor and vendor activities, band competitions, cheer exhibitions, step shows, concerts, food, and other family-friendly entertainment as part of the CIAA Tournament Week.
