OVERNIGHT CAMP (ENTERING GRADES 3-10)

Overnight camp at Camp Hashawha inspires youth to stretch their imaginations, try new things and expand their horizons. When children are away from home, there's an amazing amount of growth and development that occurs. Campers begin to trust themselves more and learn they can achieve great things on their own.

Rates $475/wk - $525/wk

 

Activities

Archery, Campfire S'mores, Fishing, Sports, Swimming/Swim Lessons, Canoeing, Tons of Games, Crafts, Confidence Course, Environmental Education, Team-building, Hiking, Dance Parties, Cabin Games

 

Amenities

Modern Cabins, Outdoor Pool, Sports Fields, Hiking Trails, Lake Hashawha, Nature Center, Pavilions, Dining Hall, Basketball Court, Beach Volleyball Court

 

Meals May Include

  • Breakfast: Fresh fruit, yogurt, french toast, cereal, pancakes, scrambled eggs, milk, juice, sausage, bacon and more.
  • Lunch/Dinner: Fajitas, chicken, tacos, meatball subs, veggies, salad, hot dogs, hamburgers, spaghetti and more.

Every effort will be made to accommodate special dietary needs.

 

Safety

All Y associates are CPR and First Aid certified.

 

Transportation

Transportation is available to/from Camp Hashawha at the Y in Arnold, the Dancel Y in Ellicott City, the Hill Y in Westminster, the Ward Y in Abingdon and the Y in Parkville. Participation in Y Programs

As a mission based organization, the Y is more than a collection of programs. We are an organization with a purpose which believes that being a part of a supportive, caring community is essential to good health and well-being. Y membership is our best resource to create and support caring, connected and inclusive communities. That’s why we’re doubling down on Y membership as the unifying hub of Y community life. 

Beginning January 1, 2023, access to Y programs, such as all Y Day Camps, will be a benefit of Y membership. You must be a Y member at the time of registration to participate. Learn more here.

Because many families enroll in overnight camp from outside the region, Y membership is encouraged but not required in order to participate in Y Overnight Camp.
