Preschool Director

Y of Central has an exciting opportunities for  experienced, proven professionals to work at our Owen Brown Childcare Site  in Columbia, and our UMBC site in Catonsville, Maryland. You will work with our team in a stimulating environment where children thrive. In the position you will be responsible for developing and managing the onsite Preschool and School Age Services departments at the Child Care Center. As a Director you will lead center operations, staff recruitment and retention, curriculum development and budget planning/fiscal management to ensure the child care program exceeds quality standards and customer service expectations. Maintain compliance with state CCA regulations; and Y of Central Maryland quality standards.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Minimum of two years experience in childcare management and staff supervision.  Must meet all CCA licensing requirements to hold a Preschool Child Care license for a center with 60 plus capacity. Must meet continuing education requirements for Maryland Office of Child Care (OCC) Licensing and Regulations. Two years experience working with preschool through school age children, and staff supervision. Experience working with diverse populations, social services, staff and volunteer supervision, values education, program development and fund raising; Must have strong oral/written communication skills; and experience using MS Office.
