Y Journeys in Early Childhood Development

Located throughout the region, Y Journeys in Early Childhood Development focuses on the developmental and educational needs of the young child - with an emphasis on school readiness and fun! Using the Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence, Y staff teach skills related to school readiness as measured by the Maryland State Department of Education.

Y Journeys also teaches critical social skills. Children learn how to work together whether through health and wellness activities that keep them moving or creative arts activities where they're exposed to music, paintings, dance and more! Plus, the Y's character development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility is infused into everything we do.
