Ellicott City Family Center Renovation - Countdown to Completion!
The Y’s Ellicott City Family Center (soon to be renamed the Dancel Family Center) has completed the first stage, or "Phase 1," of construction! The 40,000 sq/ft addition includes an upper gym, fitness center, rear entrance, climbing wall, and group exercise studio!
The Y is gearing up for Phase 2 of construction, which will include the renovation of the "old" center, the front parking lot, lobby and locker rooms . Phase 2 is projected to be completed in fall 2008. The center will remain fully operational through all phases of construction.

Anticipated Schedule for New Features
Click here for an estimated timeframe for new facility features coming on-line. Regular updates will be made to the timeframe to reflect actual "open for use" dates as well as adjusted estimates for items that become available sooner or later than expected.
Entrance to the Building
- The new road is now open and will be used as our main entrance to our center. Please follow the signs to guide you to our facility.- The front entrance is now closed. Please follow the signs that will guide to entering the building through the back lower doors.
Parking
- Please reserve the lower parking lot for our senior members and those with small children.- Overflow parking is available on the upper parking lot.- Please refrain from parking in the school parking lot during school hours from 8:30am-4:00pm and special events.
