Management Modules
An ongoing management training program is offered to Y employees. Training sessions are offered throughout the year on a variety of subjects, from Facilities Management to Group Work. All are welcome to participate with the approval of their supervisor.

Child Care Training
An annual intensive Child Care Training Institute is offered in late August. Classes range from introductory to advanced. While some courses are designed specifically for the Y of Central Maryland, many are certified by the Y of the USA and nationally recognized. Certificates are awarded to those who successfully complete courses.
Y Basic Training
All Y Employees are required to take basic orientation and training courses. Courses are offered throughout the year at varying locations and times to accommodate staff members' schedules. Training is considered paid work time.

TUITION ASSISTANCE
Tuition Reimbursement Program
The Y of Central Maryland will reimburse full-time employees 75% of the tuition expense for approved courses up to $600 per fiscal year subject to budget limitations. You must request reimbursement within 30 days after completing course work. Reimbursement is contingent on a grade of "B" or better.
Y of Central Maryland Scholarship
The overall purpose of the Y Scholarship is to assist staff members in completing their college education so they can continue to grow professionally and achieve a successful Y career. Several scholarships are awarded each year with applications accepted and reviewed each July for the following academic year. All part and full-time staff members are eligible to apply. Detailed application information is distributed to staff in June.
