In addition to day camp activities, campers participate in team-building challenges, leadership skill development and service projects. Campers also travel three days a week on a quest for adventure! Price includes trips and admission fees. (Not available at school-based camp locations.)

LIT – Leaders in Training (entering grades 9 – 12, minimum age 14)
Teens must attend a one-week training session to obtain national certifications like CPR, First Aid and more! Upon successful completion, teens can work alongside Y camp counselors for additional weeks of hands-on experience in a leadership role.An interview process is required for admittance.Must register by May 1, 2010. (Not available at school-based camp locations.)

Discovery Camp (ages 7 – 15)
A special needs camp specifically designed for children with mental or physical disabilities. Campers enjoy activities like water activities, nature studies, arts & crafts and more! Campers must be toilet-trained, free of uncontrollable aggressive behaviors and able to communicate their needs.
Located at the Towson Family Center Y ONLY from 9am – 4pm. Extended care is not available. A pre-registration interview is required. Weekly sessions available from 6/28 to 8/20 (weeks 2 – 9).

All Camp Extras run half days from 9:30am – 12:00pm*. If you need camp services in the afternoon, you must enroll your child into a day camp program.

Mad Science® at the Y (entering grades 1 – 6)
Mad Science has sparked imaginative learning and science enrichment for children for over two decades with their unique brand of entertaining and educational hands-on science activities. Led by Mad Science specialists and Y personnel, campers will experience the ultimate in edutainment!
- Crime Scene & Chemistry– learn how science solves crime, decode your own DNA and more!
- Earth, Space & Beyond – go on a Mad Science® space mission, learn Morse Code and more!

CKCS Cooking at the Y (entering grades 1 – 6)
CKCS is a mobile cooking program that teaches children how to cook using basic techniques. Campers will prepare fun, delicious, and "kid-approved" culinary specialties like cheesy quesadillas, strawberry smoothies, and more! Classes are taught by Chef/Owner Nikki, co-host of "Child Life TV Cooking Show" and her staff of culinary experts.

"Let's Talk" Camp: A fun speech-language therapy experience. (entering grades K – 5)
"Let's Talk" camp addresses the specific needs of children with speech and/or language delays, social communication skill deficits, cognitive learning difficulties, or developmental delays. Therapy is provided by Progress Therapy licensed and certified speech-language pathologists within a fun, Y camp setting.

Camp Hashawha Overnight Camp

Summer Preschool/Programs
Age-appropriate, fun activities for the young adventure-seeker like arts & crafts, science experiements, nature walks, field trips, water activities and more! Weekly summer preschool/program sessions are run under the Y Journeys in Early Childhood Development program. Sessions are available at our Y Journeys at Catsonsville Center and our Y Journeys at Owen Brown Center. Traditional year-round preschool is available at all Y preschool centers.
