"Let's Talk" Camp

"Let's Talk" Camp: A fun speech-language therapy experience!

The Y of Central Maryland and Progressus Therapy have teamed up to bring you "Let's Talk" Camp, a fun summer therapy experience designed to address the specific needs of elementary age children with speech and/or language delays, social communication skills deficits, cognitive learning difficulties, or developmental delays.

Therapy is provided by Progressus Therapy licensed and certified speech-language pathologists within a Y camp setting of innovative and fun camp themes and activities like crafts, games, nature exploration and more. As children benefit from the hands-on support of Progressus Therapy pathologists, they also get to bask in the sheer joys a Y camp experience offers: getting wet, being silly, playing hard, making new friends, growing and learning all along the way.

Registration Fee & Deposits
A one-time fee of $35 per camper is due at the time of registration. The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

A $25 per week per camper deposit is required for "Let's Talk" camp. Deposits are non-refundable and are applied towards the total weekly camp fee.

Sibling Discounts & Financial Assistance
A $10/week sibling discount is given for each additional child when registered for the same weeks of camp. (Not available online.)

Financial assistance is available. Funding may be limited due to demand, so it is recommended that you apply prior to May 1st. Download an application now. DSS vouchers are also accepted.

Balance of Weekly Camp Fees
The balance of all weekly camp fees are due two weeks prior to the start of each week of camp. If the balance is not received, the camper will not be allowed to attend and the slot will be reassigned. A complete payment schedule is included in the Y Journeys in Camping Fun Manual.

Camper Screening Form>
A camper screening form and pre-camp interview are required prior to registration to assess your child's needs. Parents must complete the form and fax it to the attention of Michelle Becote-Jackson at 410-752-5452 or mail it to her attention at Y of Central Maryland, Association Office, 20 S. Registration Options
Online
Online registration is available. An online account login and password must be created prior to registering. To take advantage of sibling discounts, you must register at the Towson Family Center Y or the Dancel Family Center Y.

In Person
Bring your registration form and all applicable deposits and registration fees to the front desk of the Towson Family Center Y or Dancel Family Center Y during regular business hours.

By Mail
Mail your registration form and all applicable deposits and registration fees to the Towson Family Center Y or Dancel Family Center Y. Make checks payable to the Y of Central Maryland or submit credit card information.

Credit/Refund Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing and include the dates of the session(s) being canceled, a brief explanation and a parent/guardian signature. All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Our abbreviated Y camp credit/refund policy is below. Certain additional restrictions apply. If Canceled 2 Weeks Before the Week of Camp
Deposit - will be left as a credit on your Y account for one year (less $10 service charge) Balance - if applicable, may be refunded. Credit card payments will be refunded to the card used. Cash or check payments will be refunded by check.

If Canceled Less than 2 Weeks Before the Week of Camp, but Prior to the Friday Before the Week of Camp
Deposit - non-refundable, non-transferable Balance - will be left as a credit on your Y account for one year (less $10 service charge)

If Canceled On or After the Friday Before the Week of Camp
Deposit - non-refundable, non-transferable Balance - non-refundable, non-transferable
