Community Advisory Board members are dedicated volunteers who share the values of the Y and are committed to working cooperatively with other leaders to improve the quality of life for the community through the mission of the Y.
Community Advisory Boards are non-governing entities that focus on:
• Promoting and supporting the mission and programs of the Y in their local community;
• Raising funds to support the Y’s community outreach activities, scholarship programs and capital requirements;
• Building strong local boards that have the capacity and commitment to support the work of the Y in their community.
Community Advisory Board members also serve on the Association Board’s committees to ensure community-wide input and participation in key strategic decisions.
