Our Mission
The Y of Central Maryland is a charitable organization dedicated to developing the full potential of every individual through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our Impact
Operating in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard Counties, we are the leading provider of health and wellness facilities and programs and serve more children and youth in more ways than any other organization in the state.

• More than 30 community outreach and Youth Asset Development program sites
• 9 Family Center Ys
• 2 Family Aquatic Centers
• Hundreds of health & wellness classes inclusive of sports leagues and lessons for children and adults
• Over 52,000 members
• Over 18,000 children and youth served
• Over 82,000 men, women and children engaged as members, participants and parents
• A full 33% of the Y's budget goes to providing programs and services to those who otherwise could not afford to pay - 86% of which support programs and services for children and youth
• More than $11 million a year reinvested into scholarships and community building activities

Open To All
The Y is a place for everyone. People of all races, ages, faiths, gender, abilities, and incomes are welcome and financial assistance on a sliding scale is available to those who would otherwise be unable to participate. This assistance enables more than 10,000 youth and adults to participate in Y programs and is funded through the generosity of our donors.

The Y is a non-profit organization committed to developing positive character and building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Financial assistance is available on a sliding scale to those who would otherwise be unable to participate in a Y experience.
