One of the most important factors in improving your overall health & well-being is making sure you have a balanced work-life ratio. As the saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." It also makes him unhealthy!
We provide a variety of opportunities for families to spend quality time together and reconnect with one another. Here are just a few…
Family Fun Night
Family Center Y’s take turns hosting a free night of play each month. Family Fun Nights are open to the public and often include family games, projects, fun themes, family swim and more! Check the events calendar for our next Family Fun Night!
Healthy Kids Day
Every April, Y’s across the nation host Y Healthy Kids Day, where families have fun participating in activities like family fitness, making healthy treats, face painting, moon bounces and more!
Mommy (or Daddy) and Me Classes
Many Y classes for infants and toddlers follow our Mommy and Me format which gives parents a chance to strengthen bonds with their little one during those critical early years. Classes like Busy Bees, Tots Day Out and Skips are just a few that focus on parent/child interaction.
Happy Healthy Halloween
Happy Healthy Halloween gives families a safe alternative to trick-or-treating. Similar in nature to Healthy Kids Day, families participate in fun games, costume contests, face painting, and more.
Y Turkey Trots
Start a new family tradition and participate in a Y Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning! Proceeds go to the Y’s Safe Place for Kids campaign to provide Y experiences to those who otherwise could not afford it.
Kids/Parents Night Out
As much as kids and parents need to be together, they also need time apart. We offer Kids/Parents Night Out programs where mom and dad can enjoy an evening to themselves while we engage kids in fun activities at the Y. (It also works the other way around; kids get a break from mom and dad!)
