Enrichment Before & After School

Y Journeys in Enrichment Before and After School focuses
on developing the whole child - spirit, mind and body.
Our focus is on fostering the critical connection between a vital mind, a healthy body, and a happy spirit.

Our Approach

1. Learning Launch Pad: Get an early start on homework. Y staff is there to help.
2. Body Central: Nutrition information and daily physical activity designed to promote healthy, active lifestyles.
3. Mind Space: Keep your mind just as active as your body with brain teasers, puzzles, and strategy games like chess.
4. Imagination Station: Get your creative juices flowing with activities like scrap-booking, drama, dance, crafts, and more.
5. Literacy Junction: Get lost in a good book or create your own adventure through activities like journaling, book clubs, and story-telling.
6. Science Center: Develop and enhance problem-solving skills through fun science and technology activities that pose questions and challenge children.
7. Spirit Zone: Learn the importance of giving back to the community through fun volunteer activities.

journey below!

Most Y Journeys sites are conveniently located in your child’s school gymnasium or cafeteria. Other sites provide transportation to and from your child's school. Scheduled activities and times vary by day and/or location.

Preferred Registration Method

1. Download a Y Journeys before & after school registration form,
complete it, and fax it to the Y's billing office at 410-779-9426, or
scan your completed form and email it to billing@ymaryland.org.

2. You will receive a call from the billing office to:
    a) Confirm your registration form was received
    b) Discuss the financial process
    c) Set up your billing schedule and make your initial payment

3. An email will be sent to you to confirm that your child was successfully registered in a Y Journeys program. This email will also include your copy of the Y Journeys before & after school parent packet.

Alternate Method

1. Download a Y Journeys before & after sschool registration form, complete it, and bring it to any Family Center Y, or visit any Family Center Y and complete the form with a Member Service Representative (MSR). In either case, the MSR will send your form to the Y billing office.

2. Once the billing office receives your information, you will receive a call and steps 2-3 from above will occur.

To enroll your child in a Y Journeys Enrichment Before
and After School program you must complete a 2012 - 2013
registration form and parent packet. Click the appropriate links
below to download the forms and submit completed forms with
correct payment amount to the billing office. See "How to Register" for the preferred registration method.

• Electronic Fund Transfer Form: Complete this form if you wish to have your payment automatically withdrawn from your checking, savings, or credit card account every month.
