Registration & General Information

Camp Weeks

Weekly sessions of Y Journeys camp begin as early as 6/18 and end as late as 8/24. Sessions vary by location and are subject to change pending any changes with the Public School System’s school schedule or location availability.

Registration Fee

A one-time fee of $35 per camper is due at the time of registration. The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Deposits

A $25 per week per camper deposit is required for all camps and transportation (where applicable). Deposits are non-refundable and are applied towards the total weekly camp fee. Even when camp is paid in full, $25 per week is considered a non-refundable deposit. Not subject to sibling discounts.

Sibling Discounts

A $10 per week fee reduction is available for each additional child when registered for the same weeks of camp. Not available online.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available. Appy early as funding may be limited. Applications are available online and at all Family Center Ys. DSS vouchers are accepted. You must apply and receive DSS acceptance or denial prior to receiving additional financial assistance from the Y. Including DSS, additional discounts and promotions do not apply in conjunction with financial assistance.

Member Camp Rates

In order to qualify for member camp rates, the child you are registering must be a Y member at the time of registration and throughout all camp session(s), at a minimum. 

Balance of Weekly Camp Fees

The balance of all weekly camp fees are due two weeks prior to the start of each week of camp. If the balance is not received, the camper will not be allowed to attend and the slot will be reassigned. A complete payment schedule is included in the Camp Parent Manual.

Paperwork

All paperwork is due at time of registration. All forms are avaialable online in our forms & documents section. Campers will not be considered fully registered until all information is received. Campers may be removed from the roster or not admitted to camp with all paperwork completed.

Registration Options

Online - Online registration is available. An online account login and password must be created 48 business hours prior to registering. To take advantage of promotional offers and sibling discounts, you must register in person at your nearest Family Center Y.

In Person - Bring registration form and all applicable deposits and registration fees to the front desk of your nearest Family Center Y during regular business hours.

By Mail - Mail your registration form and all applicable deposits and registration fees to the primary location for your region. Click here for mailing addresses. Make checks payable to the Y of Central Maryland or submit credit card information.

Credit/Refund Policy

The following policy applies to all camp programs, specialties, and transportation. See the Camp Parent Manual or review our frequently asked questions for more information.

All cancellations must be made in writing and include the dates of the session(s) being canceled, a brief explanation and a parent/guardian signature. All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

If Canceled Two Weeks Before the Week of Camp

• Deposit – will be left as a credit on your Y account for one year (less $10 service charge)
• Balance – if applicable, may be refunded. Credit card payments will be refunded to the card used. Cash or check payments will be refunded by check.

If Canceled Less than Two Weeks Before the Week of Camp, but Prior to the Friday Before the Week of Camp

• Deposit – non-refundable, non-transferable
• Balance – will be left as a credit on your Y account for one year (less $10 service charge)

If Canceled On or After the Friday Before the Week of Camp

• Deposit – non-refundable, non-transferable
• Balance – non-refundable, non-transferable

Please save receipts for tax puposes. The Y tax ID# is 52-059-1699.

Y Journeys Camp Parent Manual

The Y Journeys Camp Parent Manual contains important information you need to know prior to your child’s first day of camp. By registering for Y Journeys camp, you agree to read the camp manual in its entirety and comply with all policies and procedures stated within. Parent manuals will be handed out at Family Center Ys, is available for download, or can be emailed to you upon request.
